Welcome!
Carolyn Lawrence works for the USDA-ARS. She is a member of the team that manages the operation of the Maize Genetics & Genomics Database (MaizeGDB) and is interested in functional aspects of maize chromosomes. The work at MaizeGDB is focused on creating data storage, access, and analysis solutions for information generated by the community of maize researchers. The maize chromosome research focuses on how chromosome move and how the physical structure of chromosomes relates to maps and DNA sequences. Lately, personnel working in the Lawrence Lab Group are focusing on structural and functional annotation of the maize genome.
