Welcome To My Web Page!

Ya'a'te'eh!!! (Hello)

I would like to introduce myself to you viewers, My name is Sharon Garfield, 21 years old, 4/4 Navajo, I belong to the Salt People and born for the Water Flow Together Clan. I am a very traditional person, what I mean by traditional is I follow my mother, father, and grandfather wisdom of truth.

My area of study is Health Information Technology. Let me explain a little more on what I will be doing in this field, first of all its a combination of human science, computer, and healthcare information system. This field includes both theoretical instruction and practical laboratory experience as well as clinical affiliation in area healthcare settings. I will be attending San Juan College in Farmington New Mexico in the fall and spring.

You will find my home town "Sanostee" on the Navajo Nation map to your left. Our navajo reservation is very small, calm, peaceful, and quiet. Believe me, I have live on the navajo reservation for 20 years. There is no place like HOME!!!

If you would like to take a closer look you can click the Navajo Nation Map to your left.

To the left is my grandmother Lula Jackson, she is from Shiprock, NM and to right is my grandfather Ray Lee, he is from Cove, AZ. Both my grandparents were recently here in Iowa State visiting me and to see how I was coming along on my internship.

My grandfather also did a blessing way at the Plant Introduction Farm for all the intern to and for the Plant Introduction Farm.

They have been there for me through the thick and thin times, I try to keep secrets from them but there always a way for them to find out. They are tough when it comes to hiding problems. They taught me how to be a better person and to help me understand the meaning of life. That is why I love my grandparents so much.
