Food

Corn is also known as maize. It is easy to store for Native Americans. The corn was used to make corn meal by grinding the corn to make a powdery form. The powdery corn can be use for corn syrup, cornbread, corn flour, and cornmeal. Below are three photos showing this. Picture (A.) is corn from the cob. Picture (B.) shows the corn on the grinding stone. Picture (C.) shows what the corn looks like after the grinding. Pictures (D.) and (E.) give you an idea of how corn is used as food: (D.) is a tamale and (E.) is a corn tortilla.
