Plant Genome Outreach Program For Natives

Over the Summer of 2010 two interns researched the location of knobs, both 180-repeat and TR-1. They looked at the knobs from three different perspectives: ctytogenetic, genetic, and sequence mapping. They started out looking at data from Kato, a maize researcher at Instituto de Recursos Genéticos y Productividad (Montecillo, Mexico). Then moved onto researching knobs for the B73 maize. They accumulated this data over a 2 month span.
